Chuck Fiala
Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Mr. Fiala has over 40 years of experience working in both the Federal and commercial real estate, development, engineering and construction sectors. Prior to forming BlackChamber, Mr. Fiala was employed at Corporate Office Properties Trust (NYSE: OFC) and Kellogg Brown & Root (now, KBR, Inc.) and served in the United States Army, retiring as a Colonel. Mr. Fiala is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and received two Masters of Science degrees – one in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and one in National Security Strategy from the National War College. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Conley Patton
Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Mr. Patton has over 10 years of experience in real estate strategy, M&A, debt and equity capital markets. Prior to forming BlackChamber, Mr. Patton worked in the investment banking department at Credit Suisse and as a financial analyst at Mercer Capital Management. Mr. Patton received a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Derek van Dijkum
Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Mr. van Dijkum has over 15 years of acquisition, disposition, financing, credit underwriting, risk management and public markets experience in the real estate sector. Prior to forming BlackChamber, Mr. van Dijkum held positions at Corporate Office Properties Trust (NYSE: OFC), Credit Suisse, and CapLease, Inc., a publicly traded REIT ultimately acquired by VEREIT (NYSE: VER). Mr. van Dijkum received a B.A. in History from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
